Justice shines by its own light.
Caesar was so determined to convict LIgarius, a great defender of liberty, that he brought the sentence of condemnation already signed and sealed with him into the Roman Forum. Cicero was so eloquently persuasive in his defense that Caesar acquitted Ligarius with a full pardon.
